Election equipment security

How can we be sure the voting equipment isn't "hacked in Hennepin County?
There are many checks in place to ensure that the voting equipment in Hennepin County has not been tampered with and that votes are counted accurately. These checks include the use of paper ballots, extensive pre-election testing of the equipment, secure storage and use of tamper-evident seals, strict chain of custody for both voting equipment and ballots, state-of-the-art technological security protocols and random post-election auditing.

More information about equipment security is available here.
